Set your status

Your status lets supporters know what you're up to at a glance, whether you're open for commissions, taking a break, or heads down on something. Your status shows on your page, at checkout, and in your messages, so fans always know what to expect before they reach out.

How to set your status

  1. From your Ko-fi page, tap Set a status next to your profile picture.

  2. Type your status, or choose from a quick option like Commissions open, On holiday, Super focused, or Out sick. Your status can be up to 40 characters, and you can change the emoji by tapping on it.

  3. Choose when your status should clear under Clear after: Today, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, a specific date, or Don't clear if you'd rather remove it yourself.
  4. Tap Save.

  Note

Setting a status is optional, and you can change or remove it at any time from the same menu.

 

Where your status appears

Your Ko-fi status appears in three places: on your Ko-fi page next to your name, at checkout when a supporter is completing a payment, and in your messages before a supporter sends you one.

FAQ

Does setting a status pause my Commissions or Shop?
No. Your status is just a visual signal to supporters, and it doesn't change your availability settings. Learn how to manage your commission slots if you need to pause new requests.
What happens when my status clears?
Your status is removed automatically at the time you chose under Clear after, and your profile simply shows no status until you set a new one.
Can I use an emoji in my status?
Yes, you can add an emoji alongside your custom status text.
How long can my Ko-fi status be?
Your status can be up to 40 characters.
Can supporters set a status too?
No, status is a creator-only feature. Supporters don't have a status and won't see an option to set one.
