Why can’t I see my transaction or subscription?

You can support creators on Ko-fi without signing up for an account. But creating an account makes it easier to track your payments and manage subscriptions in one place.

If you’ve already signed up but can’t see your payment or subscription, don’t worry, this guide will help you link them to your account.

 

Check your email

We send a confirmation email for every one-time payment and for the first payment of a subscription.

If you paid while logged out, you’ll also get an email to link your payment or subscription to your account. Look for an email from ko-fi@ko-fi.com with a subject line like:

  • Your Ko-fi receipt for supporting [Creator]
  • Don’t miss your rewards from [Creator]
  • You joined [membership]!

Tap “Confirm Your Guest Purchase”, and you’ll be taken through the process of logging in or creating an account.

Once your account is created, you can find your payment from your Payments & Orders. To manage subscriptions, go to your Account & Billing.

  Note

Payments can only be linked to the email you entered at checkout. If you create an account with a different email, your payment won’t link.

 

What if I didn’t get the email?

If you didn’t receive your email, check any other emails you might have used at checkout. A typo can also be the reason you didn’t receive your donation receipt.

Here are a few things to check:

  • Check your spam, junk, or promotions folder. Emails can sometimes land there.
  • Search for keywords like “Ko-fi” or “[Creator name]”.
  • Add ko-fi@ko-fi.com to your email contacts to make sure future emails arrive in your inbox.

If you didn’t get the email, confirm that the payment was successful. Failed payments can sometimes show on your bank statement.

If you still can’t find the email, contact us with this information:

  1. The creator’s Ko-fi page you paid (ko-fi.com/handle)
  2. The display name you entered at checkout
  3. The email you used at checkout
  4. The payment date and amount

Let us know the email linked to your Ko-fi account, and we’ll do our best to get your payment connected!

 

What if my link expired?

For security, a payment can only be linked to your account within 72 hours of the original payment. If you try to link it after that, you may see this error:

Not to worry! Reach out to us, and we’ll help link the payment to your account.

We’ll need:

  1. The creator’s link you paid (ko-fi.com/handle)
  2. The display name you entered at checkout
  3. The email you used at checkout
  4. The payment date and amount

  Note

Since Ko-fi doesn’t process payments directly, we can’t locate payments using card details or PayPal payment IDs.

 

Can I cancel my subscription without an account?

Ko-fi is a direct payment platform, meaning payments go straight from your payment source to the creator. If you didn’t link your subscription to an account, you won’t be able to cancel it through Ko-fi.

For PayPal subscriptions, you can cancel directly from your Automatic Payments by following this guide.

For card subscriptions, your subscription must be linked to a Ko-fi account to cancel it. Once it’s linked, follow the steps here.

 

Can Ko-fi cancel my subscription for me?

While we may not be able to cancel subscriptions on your behalf, we can link your subscription to your account so you can manage it yourself.
