How do I start earning on Ko-fi?

Nope! Ko-fi is a direct payment platform, which means your payments go straight from your supporters to your PayPal or Stripe account.

What fees does Ko-fi charge?

Ko-fi takes a simple 5% service fee when you use premium features like:

  • Memberships
  • Monthly tips
  • Shop
  • Commissions

You’ll start with Contributor status, which unlocks everything from day one (including a 5% fee on one-time tips). You can opt out at any time for no fees on one-time tips.

 

How do I share my Ko-fi page to get support?

Do I need a PayPal Business account?

Use either a personal or business PayPal account to accept payments on Ko-fi! A business account gives you more control over what information is shared with supporters. Learn more here.

 

Can I use Stripe in my country?

Note: A full Stripe account is needed to accept payments on Ko-fi. Stripe Express accounts aren’t available at this time.

What information is shared on Ko-fi?

On Ko-fi, we collect only very basic details from creators, and we make sure we don’t share any more information than we need to.

By default, only your display name is shared. For shop and commission sales, your contact email is also shared (you can set this in your Shop settings and Commission settings).
