Changing email notification settings
Stay on top of your Ko-fi updates by customizing your email notifications. You can choose whether you want to receive product updates, welcome emails, updates from creators, and more. Whether you’re a creator or a supporter, you can manage your preferences from the same page.
Editing your preferences
Choose which notifications about your Ko-fi account you’d like to receive.
- Go to your Account Settings.
- Scroll to your Notification Settings.
- Choose your preferences. You’ll see a list of notifications. Check or uncheck the ones you want to receive.
General notifications
These are emails sent regarding your Ko-fi account activity.
Creator notifications
Choose which notifications you want to receive for each creator you follow.
How often will I receive emails?
We aim to keep our emails relevant and not overwhelming.
- Welcome emails: Just a few to get you started.
- Account activity emails: As activity happens.
- Direct Message emails: When you receive a new message.
- Weekly roundup emails about Direct Messages: Once a week, when there’s activity.
- Subscription/membership emails: When there's a change.
- Ko-fi updates and newsletters: A few times a month.
- New content from creator: As activity happens.
- New product/services from creator: When it’s added.
I’m not receiving notifications
If you’re not getting emails from us, try these steps:

Check your notification settings. Make sure you’re opted into the emails you want in your Notification Settings.

Add Ko-fi to your safe sender list. Add hello@ko-fi.com and ko-fi@ko-fi.com to make sure our emails reach your inbox.

Check your Spam/Junk/Social folders. Sometimes our emails get sent to a different folder.

Check your browser notifications are turned on. For browser notifications, click the bell at the top of your page, scroll down, and tap Turn On. Make sure your browser is not blocking these.

Unsubscribe from all emails
Unsubscribe from all notifications by following these steps:
- Go to your Account Settings.
- Scroll to your Notification Settings.
- Uncheck all boxes to opt out of notification emails.
Note
We must send certain emails about account security and specific payments. We need to send these for legal reasons.
