Updating your Ko-fi account email address

You can always change the email you log in with whenever you like. Here we’ll cover what to do if you’ve made a typo in your email address when signing up, want to update your account email address or if you want to switch from social sign up to email.

 

Changing your Ko-fi account email address

Want to update your Ko-fi account email? No problem! Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Head over to your Account Settings page.

  2. Click on "Change your email address."

  3. Enter your new email and tap on "Send confirmation mail," we'll send a confirmation email to your current Ko-fi login address. Keep an eye out for an email titled "You just requested to change your email" from ko-fi@ko-fi.com. It'll also mention the new email address you're switching to. Best to double check this email is correct.

  4. When you receive the email, click on “Confirm this change” to finalize the process. If the email is wrong, change it back through Account Settings.

  5. When you have finalized the email change, return to your Account Settings, give the page a quick refresh, and check your account email has been updated.

That's it! 🎉 Your Ko-fi account email address is now up-to-date.

 

Typo in my email when signing up

If there's a typo in your email when you sign up, it means your account won't be verified and will eventually be removed. You can simply sign up again and claim the same username with the correct email this time around.

Want to still log in using your social account, but receive emails to a different email address?

You can add your email address in your Account Settings following the steps in the previous section. You will continue to log in using your social media account and all emails and notifications will be sent to the newly added email address.

 

Switching from social media login to email login

If you’d like to log in using your email address, rather than your social media account, you will need to set up a password and login email address for your Ko-fi account. You can set a password and email address from your Account Settings.

 

Lost access to Ko-fi account email

If you're unable to access the email you used to create your Ko-fi account, don't worry, we're here to assist you! Simply reach out to us and let us know the email address you'd like to change your Ko-fi account to. Just make sure it's an email without an existing Ko-fi page associated with it. If it’s already tied to another Ko-fi page, you'll need to delete the page linked to that email.

Once you've submitted your request, our team will review the information provided or reach out to you to carry out some checks. Please note that these checks may take up to 7 days to ensure a safe and secure transition of your account email.
