Updating your Ko-fi account email address

You can update your Ko-fi login email whenever you like. Here we'll cover changing your email address, fixing a sign-up typo, and switching from social login to email.

Changing your Ko-fi account email address

Want to update your Ko-fi account email? No problem! Just follow these simple steps:

1. Head over to your Account Settings page.

2. Click on "Change your email address."

   

3. Enter your new email address, then confirm it in the "Confirm your new email address" field. 

   Click "Send confirmation email" when you're ready.

     Note

   We'll send a confirmation email to your current address from ko-fi@ko-fi.com. Double check the new email address mentioned in it is correct before confirming.

4. When you receive the email, click on "Confirm this change" to finalize the process. If the email is wrong, change it back through Account Settings.
5. Once confirmed, you'll receive an email to your original address titled "Your Ko-fi email has been changed successfully" to let you know the change is complete.
6. When you have finalized the email change, return to your Account Settings, give the page a quick refresh, and check your account email has been updated.

That's it! 🎉 Your Ko-fi account email address is now up-to-date.

Made a mistake when changing your email?

If you confirmed an email change with a typo or used the wrong address, you can undo it straight away. Check your original inbox for an email titled "Your Ko-fi email has been changed successfully" and tap the "Undo this change" button to revert it.

If there's a typo in your email when you sign up, simply register a new page using your correct email address. If your email hasn't been verified, your preferred username should still be available. If you need a hand, feel free to reach out to us.

Want to still log in using your social account, but receive emails to a different email address?

You can add your email address in your Account Settings following the steps in the previous section. You will continue to log in using your social media account and all emails and notifications will be sent to the newly added email address.

Switching from social media login to email login

If you'd like to log in using your email address, rather than your social media account, you will need to set up a password and login email address for your Ko-fi account. You can set a password and email address from your Account Settings.

Lost access to Ko-fi account email

If you're unable to access the email you used to create your Ko-fi account, don't worry, we're here to assist you! Simply reach out to us with the following details and we'll get it sorted:

Preferred new email address:

Just make sure your preferred new email doesn't already have a Ko-fi page associated with it. If it does, you'll need to delete the page linked to that email first.

Once you've submitted your request, our team will review the information provided or reach out to you to carry out some checks. Please note that these checks may take up to 7 days to ensure a safe and secure transition of your account email.
