In a nutshell
- Head to Account & Billing
- Scroll to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
- Confirm deletion via the email we'll send you
- That's it! Account deleted 🎉
Removing your account
Head to Account & Billing, scroll to the bottom, and Delete Account.
An email will be sent to the account email address to confirm your decision to delete your page.

What happens when my account is deleted?
What happens depends on whether you’re a creator or a supporter.
As a creator, deleting your account will permanently remove everything from Ko-fi. That includes your transaction history, posts, supporter lists, and any other account information.
All active subscriptions to your page will be automatically canceled.
Once your account is deleted, there’s no way to recover it or any of the information tied to it.
Tip
Looking to stop accepting payments but don’t want to delete your account? You can disconnect your PayPal or Stripe from your Payment Settings at any time. You can always reconnect them when you’re ready to start receiving payments again.
Note that any active subscriptions will still renew even if your PayPal/Stripe is disconnected since they’re tied to your payment provider rather than your Ko-fi account.

When a supporter deletes their account, it will remove their account information from Ko-fi. However, this does not cancel any ongoing subscriptions. If your supporter wants to stop a subscription, they will need to cancel it before deleting their account.

FAQ
If you don’t have access to the email linked to your Ko-fi account, you won’t be able to delete it yourself.
We can’t delete accounts on your behalf, but get in touch with us and we’ll help update your email address so you can log in and manage your account.
Once your account is deleted, it can’t be recovered.
However, you can create a new account and choose the same username again, as long as it’s still available.
We’re not able to delete accounts for you, but reach out to us and we’ll help you regain access to the duplicate so you can delete it yourself.
Just make sure you're logged into the right account before deleting, as deletion is permanent.
Once your account is fully deleted, your username will become available. You can then create a new account and claim it again.
If someone else claims the username after deletion, we won’t be able to make it available.
If you’d prefer to hide your page rather than delete your account, contact us and we’ll talk you through your options.
Note
Keep in mind that monthly donations and memberships will still renew, even if your page is hidden. If you don’t want to receive payments, be sure to cancel any subscriptions first.
